The Hotel in the badlands!
It’s the birthday weekend and my girlfriend took me to Lajitas Golf Resort in Lajitas, Tx. Basically it is in the middle of nowhere and the only reason we knew about it was from watching Run’s House. This was one of the best gifts ever because I was able to leave the city and become a cowboy for the weekend and anyone that knows me knows I like watching old Clint Eastwood westerns and my favorite is Tombstone. So thus begins my journey into the Badlands. We almost turned around when we hit about 70 miles of road in the midst of mountains and hills, no service, no GPS (good thing i printed out the directions). Looked similar to something straight out of a movie but what a way to kick off this journey.
Things to do before 30:
Buy a broken appliance and fix it
Make a list of 75 things to do before I die
Drive coast to coast
Scuba dive
Learn to play the guitar
Carry a totem in my pocket for a year
Stop saying “like”
Go and volunteer at the Veterans hospital for disabled soldiers
Hunt, kill and cook it
Make a short film
Volunteer or work at a ranch
Go camping for a week with my dad
Bet 100 dollars on a horse
Interview 30 random people about their life
Skydive
Go hiking/climb a mountain
Go to a super bowl or NBA finals game
Play basketball again
Learn photography
Saw this on someone else’s blog and while they may say oh no I will be embracing it. So much to do no time to waste. Now to think of what I want to do before 30……mmmmmm. Any suggestions?
